CPCA Cui Dongshu: CN Makes up 33% of Global Auto Mkt in 4M25

Global automobile sales numbered 7.56 million units in April, marking a 5% YoY rise, said China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) Secretary-General Cui Dongshu. Although the US and Chinese car markets strengthened in April, they remained 1% below the peak of April 2018, maintaining a mid-high level historically. In 4M25, global automobile sales hit 30.26 million units, also growing by 5% YoY. China was responsible for 33% of the global automobile market share, with the lower performance at the beginning of the year attributed to the normal impact of the Spring Festival.
