The HSI concluded the midday up 80 points or 0.3% at 25,184. The HSCEI rose 47 points or 0.5% to 9,022. The HSCEI hiked 88 points or 1.6% to 5,586. Among other tech stocks, AAC TECH (02018.HK) and EAST BUY (01797.HK) ballooned 4.5% and 3.8%. BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) swelled 3.1%. SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK), WEIMOB INC (02013.HK), and SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) gained 2.9%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) provided lower-than-expected guidance for 2H25 online game revenue, plunging its stock price by 4.9%. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) shot up 4% as it reported a 20% YoY growth in its 2Q25 adjusted profit (far beyond expectations) and declared a special dividend. BABA-W (09988.HK) ticked up 1.3%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) edged down 0.4%. JD-SW (09618.HK) lost 0.6%. MEITU (01357.HK) rallied 5% as its chairman increased holdings by 700,000 shares at an average price of HKD10. In the auto sector, XPENG-W (09868.HK) spiked 10.2% as its controlling shareholder increased holdings by 3.1 million shares. NIO-SW (09866.HK) mushroomed 7.3%. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) added 1%.
