The HSI managed to snap its losing streak by concluding the day up 469 points or 1.8% at 25,910. The HSECI rose 171 points or 1.9%, closing at 9,250. The HSTECH climbed 152 points or 2.8% to close at 6,075. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD315.813 billion. JD-SW (09618.HK), CATL (03750.HK), and GAC GROUP (02238.HK) spiked 2.1%, 1.8%, and 9.8%, as they had forged a partnership to launch a "national good car". Handset component stocks Q TECH (01478.HK) and SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) ballooned 3.2% and 3.3%. Sicarrier's subsidiary launched two EDA software products. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) swelled 3.6% and 5.3%. Chip equipment stock ASMPT (00522.HK) also spiked 4.6%. LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) inclined 2.8%.
