At midday, the HSI lost 61 points, or 0.2%, to 25,884; the HSCEI dipped 20 points, or 0.2%, to 9,144; and the HSTECH gained 5 points, or 0.1%, to 5,603. Total turnover for the morning session shrank to HK$75.496 billion.

In November, 178 domestically produced online games were greenlighted in mainland China, including those from BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK). BIDU-SW rose 0.8%, while BILIBILI-W and KINGSOFT (03888.HK) fell 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively. JD-SW (09618.HK) reportedly received conditional approval from Italy for its acquisition of German company Ceconomy, and its share price added 0.9%.

Among other techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) lifted 0.7%, while TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) faded 0.2-0.6%. MEITUAN-W will release its quarterly results after the market closes. NTES-S (09999.HK) closed flat at HK$214.8. EAST BUY (01797.HK) rallied 2.8%, while ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) slipped 2.3%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) mounted 0.5% and 2.3%, respectively. Handset component stock LENS (06613.HK) jumped up 2.1%. Robotics stock UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) leaped 4.4%.

In the auto sector, GAC GROUP (02238.HK), commencing the delivery of its Aion UT Super, surged 12.1%. SERES (09927.HK) nosedived 7.8%. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) climbed 0.4%. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK) dropped 1.1%. Intelligent driving chip stock HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) shot up 3.3%.
