CPCA: CN Last Dec Pax. NEV Retail Sales Up 5% MoM

In December 2025, China's retail sales of passenger new energy vehicles (NEVs) numbered 1.387 million units, representing a YoY growth of 7% and a MoM increase of 5%, preliminary statistics released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed. The aggregate retail sales of passenger NEVs for 2025 amounted to 12.859 million units, marking an 18% YoY hike. Last month, the retail sales of passenger NEVs of China were 2.296 million units, a YoY decrease of 13% but a MoM increase of 3%, with the total retail sales for 2025 reaching 23.779 million units, reflecting a 4% YoY rise.
