BYD Switches on 'Flash Charging China' Strategy, Aims to Build 20,000 Flash Charging Stations by Yr-end

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)'s decision to invest in Shenzhen-Shantou five years ago was "absolutely correct", Vice President Luo Zhongliang said yesterday (2nd). At this juncture, Phase I of BYD's Shenzhen-Shantou Industrial Park has reached full production capacity, and Phase II capacity is steadily ramping up, while Phases III and IV commenced operations last year. The second-generation Blade Battery launched in March this year is being produced in Shenzhen-Shantou. Luo said BYD has launched its "Flash Charging China" strategy, planning to build 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of this year.
